 Queen Charlotte IslandsThe Queen Charlotte Islands is the home of the Haida Nation. The Island is about a 6.5 hour ferrier ride from the mainland, Prince Rupert. The ferrier arrives in Skidegate, one of the two Haida villages in the Island. The other village is a 100 km away to the north and is called Old Masset. My wife Beatrice was born and raised in this village for 17 years before she moved to Prince Rupert. We have a large Mission House in Masset which is located 2 km from Old Masset in the centre of town. The Mission House carries a large 8 foot cross and a sign which reads, "Christ for First Nations". The house has six bedrooms and a large meeting hall on the main floor. The vision for this Mission House is to be a, "Beacon for Jesus". Our Mission outreach is focused towards the aboriginal people in the Islands and the northern part of British Columbia. Room will be made for travelling ministries that share the vision of revival and claiming back the land for Jesus in the northwest part of Canada. Please keep this Mission in your prayers and stay in spiritual battle for the souls of the Haida Nation and the Queen Charlotte Islands. |
