Message to the church, written by Gerry Eppinga, in Masset B.C. 1995.

My wife is a Haida native and we live in the Old Masset Reserve where she was born and raised for seventeen years in the north of the Queen Charlotte Islands now named Haida Gwaii.
There is a great need for the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached in the native reserves, because there is a great bondage upon the people and in their churches. Only God knows the hurts and the pains of the Native People. Jesus was accused of eating with sinners but He answered and said “I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
As Christians we must stop pointing fingers at the sins of the native people and stop hardening our hearts towards them because of situations like the 100 Mile House standoff, but we must reach out with God’s agape love in our hearts and bring Him … who came for sinners and to set the captives free … Jesus Christ.
Only God’s divine agape love in your heart for the Native People will bring spiritual anointing in your life and power to set their captives free.
When we point the finger we need to be careful, for we are not without guilt before God concerning the Native People in Canada. God will not change His mind about the Native People and His purposes for them but we will have to adjust to the will of God and start to partake in the building of His Church in the Native reserves, for His house is not in order! Many churches serving First Nations today are compromising on the Word of God and some denominations are compromising on homosexual and lesbian issues.
Canada, in many places, has never brought the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the Native People. Instead of bringing the deliverer from bondage (Jesus Christ) they brought more bondage upon them and this is a well known fact (residential schools).

Are we now evangelizing the world while the devil is playing games in our own back yard?
It is time to stand with God’s servants in Canada and blow the trumpet in Zion, rebuilding the walls of righteousness in First Nations.

To save a sinner costed God His Son…it costed Jesus Christ His life and ….to receive His anointing for your life will cost you a price as well.
God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, because He loved us so much …. How much do you love the First Nations People and how does the offering of your life reflect that love?
1: We need to pray and fast for the Native Nation. (Isa. 58) A wound needs healing and only Christ can be the healer.
2: We need to bring Jesus Christ through the love of the Spirit in us.
3: We need to pray and bring God’s work in the Reserves back on Bible ground.

GENERAL MESSAGE, written in 1994.
Repent – Be Cleansed – Be Purified – Live a Holy life before God. Unity in the house of the Lord.
The Holy Spirit will bring forth this unity amongst His people. Revival and spiritual anointing is not coming on a silver platter with no strings attached. You will have to fulfill your part of the covenant and that is:
Repentance – Cleansing – Purifying – a Holy life before God.
People are well open to the message of revival but that is not the first message God spoke to the church. The first message to the church is Revelation chapter 1- 3. Let us start at the beginning of the book and not at the excitement in the middle. We as human beings always look for the goodies and the easy way out! There are no shortcuts to God. Yes, God wants to bless His people and God wants to revive His church but not without our commitment and dedication towards Him.

The first message to the church is not revival but the Spirit of repentance entering amongst his people burning the false gods from our lives!

The Word of the Lord to the Haida Nation is “repentance starting at the House of God”.

You cannot build as a nation while God’s house lays wasted.

Haggai Chapter 1:2-9 :
2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.(KJV)
3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.(KJV)

You cannot jig for a halibut in the ocean with a three feet line in 100 feet of water and expect to catch a fish; neither do you hear from God when you compromise on His Word and willfully sin in church leadership. You must know what the Word of God says and speak the Truth.

We can not build our homes and economy in the Haida Nation and expect the people to prosper in their total welbeing while we do not care for the order in the Church.

Hosea 4:6
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.(KJV)

True repentance in the Haida Nation could bring forth a breakthrough in the spirit and revival.
In Dec. 1995 we had a gospel meeting in the reserves of Old Masset and Skidegate and the meetings produced much fruit in the hearts of the people. Sad to say at the year end there were three suicides, a 19 yr. old girl shot herself, a young man hung himself, while another person stabbed himself. This is very unusual for a small community. We know and understand that there is a warfare taking place for the souls of men.

We must preach the gospel of Jesus Christ without compromise in order to be able to confront the demonic opposition and have Victory.

The devil is not afraid of your new church carpets or the new church pews (he loves to have a good seat) or your building programs but … do not dare to expose his demonic activity compromising on the Word of God in the House of God!
The revivalistic message to Canada is brought forth as another goodie God will bestow upon His House but this is not so.
